On the evening of November 9, the internationally renowned architect Rem Koolhaas's "Country" lecture was successfully held in the Academic Lecture Hall of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. The lecture specially invited Fan Di'an, Dean of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and Stephan Petermann, a famous architectural theorist, as guests to address and share. The lecture was hosted by Lu Pinjing, Dean of the School of Architecture of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. The lecture was overwhelmed and the museum opened a second venue.

Rem Koolhaas (born in Rotterdam in 1944) is the founder of OMA. He founded OMA in 1975 with Ilya and Zoe Zheng Harris and Metro Friesend. Koolhaas graduated from the London Building Alliance and published "The Madden New York - A Retrospective Manifesto of Manhattan" in 1978.


In 1995, he summed up the work of OMA in the form of "an architectural novel" in his book "Small, Medium, Large, and Oversized." Koolhaas leads OMA and AMO (a research studio complementary to OMA), working in areas that go beyond architectural practice, as well as media, politics, renewable energy and fashion. Koolhaas is currently a professor at Harvard University and is responsible for urban research projects. In 2014, Koolhaas served as Director of the 14th Venice International Architecture Biennale, planning an exhibition called “Fundamentals”.
